What's your dream?

I had only one dream since I was little. I really wanted to make it come true and I did work very hard for it.
Unfortunately, I can't ever achieve it. I wanted to have a decent job and provide all this world's happiness to my mom. I wanted to hear "I'm proud of you"
Many nights went by as I thought of her. She is doing very well in life. She got married and left the country. I heard she is living her dreams. She always wanted a big house, a car, and servants. She got all of them. I am happy for her.
But I'm sad that my dream of her being proud of me won't ever come true.
So I change my dream. I want to be a successful author. I don't know if I will achieve my goal but I am willing to give it a try. It's good to have a new goal. I will be busy and I will not think of her.
What's your dream? Have you achieved it? Are you working on it?

Nice dream! Hope you can achieve your dream. I also dream of becoming a novelist. And is now trying to make it happen. Wish me luck.

I would be wary of anyone telling you all of these great things your mother has now. It sounds like she has carefully cultivated lies for people to believe about her, and I would bet money she does not have all of that. A man rich enough to afford those things is not going to put up with a woman who has been as horrible as your mother was to you and others. She might put on a good enough act to fool someone temporarily, but her facade won't last forever. But most likely, she never had riches at all. It is very sweet that you would be happy for her though. Your kind soul just radiates goodness and love, and I hope every dream you have comes true. 
Honestly, I don't have any dreams, and I never have. Which is probably for the best because it's impossible for me to be disappointed they didn't come true. I guess I always wanted to be best friends with my sister, but that isn't really a dream. It's not going to happen anyway at this point.
I'll let you know if I develop any dreams!

@BabeSays Well, if getting your mother to say she's proud of you is what you want, then that's what I'm gonna hope you get!
I love my sister, but she isn't fond of me. She's a good mom, and does a lot, a lot of good things in the community. But she has said and done some pretty unkind things regarding me in the past. My parents talked to her about it when we were kids, but it didn't change anything. But you never know, someday it might take a more positive turn. 
Thankfully, I have a couple sisters of the heart. We aren't related by blood, but we'd do anything for each other. And someday you'll have a friend like that too. You are too wonderful for that not to happen.

@AmbiePam I hope your sister sees the love that you have for her even thou she has done some unkind things to you in the past. You are willing you forgive and continue to love her. That's so sweet of you. We don't see many people like you nowadays Amber.

Indeed sisters by heart are the most beautiful relationship.
I hope so too. Back then I used to have someone I could have called best friend and sister by heart but she stopped talking to me when she got married. She read all my messages but never replied.
But she is happily married. I used to see her post on Instagram she and her husband traveling the world. May God bless her with all the happiness of this world.
At 1st I was very angry at first when she ignored me. I was like okay you won't talk to me so I will do the same. After a few months, I realized I still miss her so I said my farewell and kept sweet memories from the time we were close.

I know that it's not going to be easy but I am willing to work hard to achieve this. Maybe when my book reaches out my mom might hear about it and maybe within her heart, she might say. "I'm proud of you"

Honestly, I also wish to have a friend but so far all the girls I thought were my best friends betrayed me at some point in life. I have lost all hope to have a best friend now.

It's hard to achieve things when you don't achieving your own dream for yourself, make God and yourself be proud of your own craft first.
You can't give what you do not have, it will really should come first from you before you can give to others.
Hope you become a good writer and inspire more pool through your writings. I believe you can really do it. God bless.
