Writing on my weekly planner

When I had covid back in May, I did not bother to log any tasks in my planner for 2 weeks. I only took note of the days when my eldest daughter would have to take her final exams and when my second daughter would have her Math tutorials online. Now I'm starting to fill up the boxes with tasks and I've been happily crossing them off. I feel accomplished again. Having a weekly planner helps me get organized and the listing of tasks prompts me to get ahead so I can cross them off at the end of the day. I like that kind of feeling ... even if I'm only putting a check on "Pack trash". I've also resumed writing down the week's menu in my planner. So far I've prepared and cooked half of what's in the list like adobong sitaw, clam soup and chicken shanghai rolls. I'm supposed to just reheat some leftovers for dinner but husband says that one of the parents at school gave him a pack of steak cuts so steak it is for dinner tonight. How's your week been?

I have been a planner addict for years and I would have more than one planner for the whole year. I used to even buy high end planners that were very expensive. The last expensive one I bought was from Prada which was a limited edition and can was only released in London. But that was the end of it. December my friend gifted me a beautiful leather planner fromMalaysia called Ana-tomy. I'm currently using it and I'm also using my downloaded planner on my iPad. I'm glad planning helps you become productive.

@almostoveryou True. I love Hobonichi, I had been using them before for many years and every year I'd buy them coz I love their freebies. Midori travelers notebook was a favorite of mine but now Midori doesn't carry the travelers notebook anymore. I think they had stopped doing so for quite some time now. I got a friend who got me the Blue traveler's notebook straight from Thailand where it was made. I have them in regular and passport sizes and I still love buying inserts until now. I also have the Traveler's Company pen.

Whatever works, I guess. I used Midori and Hobonichi for a few years. I still have some TN inserts, a daily Moleskine planner, and an A6 hobonichi that I haven't filled up. I'll probably just use them for brain dump journaling or collage or something... I don't know why I spent so much on planners that's hard for me to use anyway because they seem too precious. Early this year I just bought a cheap hardbound weekly planner from Lazada. It's beautiful and it's good enough for me.

It's getting hotter here so we don't feel like doing as much or eating as much. I bought a lot of sliced meats (chicken, turkey and beef) as well as sliced cheese (American, Colby and Cheddar) and three types of sliced bread (White, wheat and potato) to make sandwiches instead of cooking... I don't make to-do lists. I do dishes when I take mine back to the kitchen and ask my daughter, Pretty, if she has any dirty ones in her room that need to be washed. I cleaned counters and the stove today as well as did a load of laundry. (I piled the dry towels and washcloths on the sofa and will ask Pretty to help me fold them and put them away later.) She vacuumed the house and I cleaned the bathroom yesterday. Anything else can just wait.

I like your simple routine. I tend to move towards that when everyone in my family is on vacation and I don't need to keep track of a deadline or anything like that. I can be forgetful at times so I always have to make lists to remember very important things. Though I'm happy to report that I can stay on budget at the grocery store without having to stick to a list.

@almostoveryou I set alarms in my phone for appointments and keep a list of groceries we need in my phone, too. I WILL forget if I don't keep that list. I tend to buy too little food without the list. Bills are always paid on the day I get paid, so that's an easy one to remember.

You're so organized my dear. I hope one of the entries would be " Start watching "Dongyi" . I hope you get to cross out all the tasks on your planner. Enjoy your dinner with your family. I am continuing to watch my K-dramas and doing my rounds online. I babysat for two hours, I just took a nap and now I am Mylotting.

@almostoveryou Oh great, please watch it. It has some action but it's really a love story. You're truly so organized that I'm sure you won't be missing any appointments.

Dongyi is available on the Viu app! I'm still quite far from finishing Temperature of Love though. I'd be a klutz if I didn't have an organizer. I would sometimes forget to pay bills or get stuff for my daughter's homework. I tend to be hard on myself when I fail to do important tasks so I rely so much on the planner or at least on the sticky notes that I put on my desk.
