Why Being So Rude?

Today my hubby took me to the hospital for my appointment. We reached there and I gave them my appointment card. They brought my file upfront on the desk. After 10 minutes, I asked the lady if she got my file. She said she got it and that I could go inside the waiting room meanwhile. So my husband and I went in. 15 minutes pass and my file wasn't brought so I went to a staff and ask if he could bring my file here. He told me rudely that's not my job. After 5 mins he walk to me and asked us to go out and wait out since our file isn't brought up there yet. We went out. A staff member walked in and took two files leaving my files behind. The receptionist did tell him that there was 1 more file but he said "leave it" and walked away. It make me feel so bad, I wanted to cry but I didn't. I walked to the receptionist and asked her to give me my card because I was going to leave. She felt bad for me and she personally took the file and asked me to follow her. When she was keeping the file on the desk the man said why you brought this here. She replied it was mean and unfair. Afterward, the man kept quiet and we got to go to my doctor for check-up. I wonder why was he and his other friend so rude. They did leave my file there on purpose. There was another lady who came in before me and her file was behind too, so she went on telling and explaining how she came early and her file was not even here while mine was. It's not nice to see people getting treated this way. I hope this doesn't happen ever again.

This is discrimination, what do they want? To be bribed to bring your file on top? I would report those men.

I'm so sorry that happened to you and others who waited to be seen by the doctor.

That was so pathetic of him, and I am so sorry you had to experience that. Some people enjoy having a slight bit of power over people, and when they feel cranky they tend to take it out on other people. You did absolutely nothing wrong. I am glad to hear that lady stood up for you. If there is a way to lodge a complaint against that man you might want to look into it. Usually, at least here, you can do that without the person who is in the wrong, being told who filed the complaint. How he treated you, and the lady who got there before you were treated and the lack of help you received, should never happen again. However, I don't know how things work in your country, and if they have an avenue for patients to report them.

There is a place to complain but I doubt they take it seriously. My hubby was going to complain but I told him not to. Because I didn't want any sort of drama. Plus I wasn't feeling very well. But next time if they repeat this rude behavior, we shall report them. It's not fair to be treated this way. I feel so bad for those who came early so they get to visit the doctor and leave early yet they had been delayed because of some people who enjoys being in control and feel overpowered.

That's clearly discrimination of some sort. If I were you, I would talk to whoever is overall in charge. If you don't speak up more people would be treated that way. Is there a law there that you are not allowed to ask how your progress in the queue is going? They are so rude and they should not be in the service department of any company.

This is sad. Some people are really rude and they don't care about people's feelings.
