Last night's Zumba wore me off

I didn't expect the zumba session to last for an hour. I assumed it was just going to be half an hour. I managed to survive anyway. I do only 30 minutes of exercise daily, so I was quite unsure if I'd last through this zumba session. Thankfully, the instructor gave us lots of breaks as she was huffing and puffing herself. After the workout, I took a cold shower and chatted for a while with friends. It's strange how I lost my appetite after the zumba. My last meal before that was at 11 a.m. It's just crazy that I didn't eat for 9 hours! I guess I didn't plan the day well. I'm not used to exercising at 7 p.m. I do my workouts in the morning or in mid afternoon. I should've taken early dinner before the session. Well, lesson learned. I was okay though. I was tired but I wasn't like about to pass out or anything. :o) Before going to bed, I ate one slice of pizza but asked my daughters to pick out the sausage toppings 'cause I didn't feel like eating meat. I felt the hunger at around 10 p.m. just as I was about to doze off. I was exchanging messages with the husband and he was telling me to wait for him 'cause he's bringing home 7-11 food. He got home at 11:30 pm and ordered me to eat so I can have a good night's sleep. He was so tired himself because he came from a high school graduation. I stayed awake until past 1 am and finally dozed off while in the middle of a K drama episode. It felt good to be so physically exhausted. For a while, I didn't give much thought to my worries and concerns. I just wanted to sleep. * Image by Engin Akyurt from Pixabay

Thinking of just doing this once or twice a month as I prefer to do other forms of exercise like yoga and HIIT.

I walked a lot with my husband yesterday and I worked in the garden a couple of hours late in the afternoon. I was tired enough to have a pretty good sleep.

@almostoveryou I walk with my husband. We are more motivated now because there is a photographic contest. We have to take photos of our small town, the first price is $ 1,000. We walk through the narrow roads of the center of the village to find interesting views to submit.

Walking and gardening are the best exercises for longevity. I haven't been doing much of both because of the weather. I love to walk but I want to be with someone when I do.

Zumba sounds perfect for exhausting yourself enough to get some quality sleep.

I'm glad you were able to exercise well. I assume you would be going again to another session. It's good to keep yourself fit and healthy. You must have slept well after that rigorous physical activity.

No, I opted to not sign up for the next session. I'm not sure if I can keep up with the quick moves for like an hour. It's just too exhausting. I also don't like the 7 pm schedule. I do my stretches and HIIT/cardio workouts for a maximum of 30 minutes per day and I do them in the afternoon. That's good enough for me.

Zumba is actually a tough work out, though its fun. Also, good physical activity enhances good sleep...

It is tough workout, not to mention the mental workout that I had to do as I tried to follow the quick shifts in steps. It was a bit confusing and definitely required some learning curve. I welcomed the physical exhaustion though.
