The weather guys keep talking about El Nino I got curious and did some search El Nino is a Spanish expression means little boy. It has nothing to do with little boy but lots to do with the weather.
Not much is written about why it happens but at odd times the temperature rises in sea surfaces and this causes heavy rain in some areas and draught in others. There is no system in this madness.
The year 2023 will experience this and we should all be prepared for abnormal happenings when it comes to floods and draught.

I also don't know why they call it El Nino but I think it means drought long spell of drought

El Niño may cause several weather changes. Some places will suffer droughts and other flooding.
The recent updates from the World Meteorological Organization report that there will be increased rainfall in parts of South America, the southern United States, the Horn of Africa and central Asia. In contrast, El Niño can also cause severe droughts over Australia, Indonesia, and parts of southern Asia.
