Xavier Jones who lives in St. Louis Missouri had to walk two hours from his home to the middle school graduation ceremony at Harris-Stowe State University (HSSU) since the auto that his grandfather owns was not working.
Xavier who is 14 years of age decided to walk six and a half miles since he believed that he was able to make to the university to receive his diploma from HSSU officials.
Xavier had assistance from his brother and a family friend to accompany him to the university to walk onstage to receive his diploma with the message to the other students that they can accomplish their goals if they set their minds to it.
HSSU President Dr. Latoya Collins Smith rewarded Xavier by giving him a scholarship to attend college in St. Louis that will pay for his books, tuition, housing and fees for four years.
Xavier is a student who attends Yeatman Middle School in St. Louis received a gift from his community with a new car for himself and his relatives courtesy of Miami Dolphins football player Terron Armstead.
Xavier's dream is to be a race car driver after he graduates from college.

Best of luck to this determined young man, I did not even take the subway to get my university degree due to a job interview I had and my mom went and picked it up for me,
