Short story: The humbleness of accomplishment. The greatness of humility

John Trunski, was a man of great greatness. His intellect soared over most other people. He had achieved much in his life, and yet he never boasted about anything. He remained humble as himself.
John realised that most achievements are not solo achievements, but are accomplished with help from others, and being religious, he believed that he was helped in his life by God too.
And then, just about all accomplishments are temporary, for the moment, and more for the growth of the person going through them, than for the accomplishment itself.
The only permanence here in this life is its temporariness.
And yet, when we are dealing with a fellow person here, we should not just make a quick comment, but give them more of our time, whenever we can do so, to help in the nurturing of their soul too.
Humility allows us to be authentically present, and not absent, covered over by boastful claims.
We need only do what is good, and the right thing to do, and perform the task humbly with the energy of love behind it.
Humility allows your personality to be itself for you, as the real you.
Humility is not weakness, but using your power gently, rather than forcibly.
Without humility, we are no better than nothing. We live a hollow life without the solidness of humility behind us.
John reached to a good old age, before he died, and on his tombstone were written the words:
"Here lies a humble man, straight in his word, and beautiful in its execution."
"Power is dangerous unless you have humility."
Richard J. Daley, (1902 to 1976) an American Politician said this.
When we are humble, we live a life of truth, because the truth in us is not being covered over by our pompousness, instead.

Being dead is a humbling state, but it is better to be humble while we are alive, than humbled afterwards.
Do not be dead to humility in your life, or you will be dead to your real self too.

That is some hard truth. Don't we all do that though.

And yet, if someone is humble enough, any such suspicions will be washed away by his humility too.
There can be suspicion about motives, but never about real humility.

I defeated Trump, I can't even say that. I do not even know how relevant that would be but I would be personally happy. What if its a personal achievement. Something you conquered and now live your life in grace and peace. I cannot Bragg just a little. Something I could say to my kids, do not be like that.

I do not like bragging either, and I also used to hate it when I accomplished something as a kid, and then my Dad used to brag about me to others too. It always made me cringe inside, whenever he did that.
Trump does like to blow his own trumpet, and play a trump card from his hand, which often is just full of nothing much but hot air.

@innertalks I honestly do not know where we go from here if this is what people want. I know it effects the world. We can do our own thing but not if the power falls in the wrong hands.

@crossbones27 Power must be backed by intellect, humility, and emotional stability, or love too.
Power in a proud person leads them to abuse the power, and if they have a low intellect, or no conscience, they do not care about the results of themselves using their power wrongly either.
