Watched the 76th Annual Tony Awards

This annual ceremony was held at the United Palace in New York City and it was hosted by Ariana De Bose.
They recognized the highest achievements, for the different Broadway productions of 2022-2023. Everything was very well organized, from what I could see.
I watched about 90% of this awards celebration. Then, I got tired and fell asleep. For some reason, these thing tend to get very lengthy, drawn out.
What I saw of the 76th Annual Tony Awards, there were many tears shed by the final winners and family members who had attended.
And from beginning to when I left, I never once guess the right winner! lol

I enjoy that, and try to watch every year. Around 9:30 I ended up switiching to another channel though, I had, had my fill.

I never watched the Tony Awards but was aware of the Broadway shows when I lived in NYC and got to see some now and then. However, these days I do not know what shows are on Broadway nor do I know the actors,

I didn't recognize one actor/actress. Not even one Broadway show, had I ever heard of.

@kobesbuddy times have changed. After My Fair Lady came out in a movie It returned to Broadway and I got to see Rex Harrison on stage. If I remember correctly Audrey Hepburn did not go onstage but Julie Andrews took on the role of Eliza Doolittle.

@RasmaSandra My Aunt/Uncle met Julie Andrews and Lucille Ball, many years ago. Also, my aunt danced with Lawrence Welk for about two minutes:)

And this didn't mean a thing to me, either. The Broadway theatre, I didn't know one actor/actress or recognize a single theatre presentation! I've never seen a Broadway stage play, even once.

Jay watched the basketball playoffs last night, the Denver/Miami game. Denver won the championship!
