Day 335
(Isaiah 52:7-15) How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who proclaims peace, who brings glad tidings of good things, who proclaims salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!” Your watchmen will lift their voices, with their voices they will sing together; for they will see eye to eye when the LORD brings back Zion. Break forth into joy, sing together, you waste places of Jerusalem! For the LORD comforted His people, He redeemed Jerusalem. The LORD made bare His holy arm in the eyes of all the nations, and all the ends of the earth will see the salvation of our God. Depart! Depart! Go out from there, touch no unclean thing; go out from the midst of her, be clean, you who bear the vessels of the LORD. For you will not go out with haste, nor go by flight; for the LORD will go before you, and the God of Israel will be your rear guard. Behold, My Servant will deal prudently; He will be exalted and extolled and be high. Just as many were astonished at you, so His visage was marred more than any man, and His form more than the sons of men; so, will He sprinkle many nations. Kings will shut their mouths at Him; for what had not been told them they will see, and what they had not heard they will consider.
Everyone likes good news. They wait for it and when they receive it, they celebrate with joy and gladness.
God is the messenger who brings good news to His people. He lets them know He did not forget them when He brings them His salvation. God showed them that just as people were astonished at them as a nation, so too, they would be astonished at their Messiah who would suffer so much that no one would recognize Him. Yet, He would sprinkle the nations. Kings would keep quiet, and they would consider what they would see and hear.
As Christians, you know God never forgot His chosen people. He sent His Son, Jesus, as their Messiah. His blood would not only sprinkle the nations with salvation, but it would also bring them salvation. God’s message of salvation should make you sing for joy because God reigns. Jesus is your hope and salvation. That is God’s good news to His people and to you.
Let’s pray: Father, thank you for sending Your Son, Jesus, to be my Savior. Thank you that His blood brought me salvation. Let Your joy and gladness fill me every day as I consider all You did for me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Yes, God never forgets anyone, hoping everyone will not forget him, but accept him, and his son, with their great love, always coming towards them, to guide them in truth, and right living, in their life.
