My husband wanted a big hall so that whatever we do individually or together we are in the same place - watching tv, working on the pc, entertaining visitors, activity in the kitchen, buffet table, space for the pc desk, eating at the dining table. The dining table is used to do some paper work at times. It always has a cluttered look. The total area of this space is 620 sq.ft. The space is 'L' shaped - there is no wall between the dining and kitchen and so the kitchen gets into the hall as well Sitting at the pc I can see the kitchen that opens out to the back area, the tv, the dining table and even the lounge where we entertain visitors. Happy I planned this while designing Solitaire. We have not felt the need to make any changes which I see so many doing to their homes - breaking down walls, adding rooms, et al.
