Hey everyone, how are you all doing?
I hope that you are doing well...
Back to share how I have done this week, and specifically today on my health journey.
Weigh in:
Monday: 220.6
Today (well the 23rd) - 223.6
I went up 3 pounds. I am not sure why I went up - I guess other than my calories are just still too high. I know my carbs have been way too high, also..
I have been working out the past 3 days - I have been starting out slow.
Monday I did run around at the park with Eli, playing Frisbee.
I took Tuesday off because it was laundry day
Wednesday I did a 20 minute workout, that's all I could handle.
Thursday I did a 30 minute workout
Then today (well I guess officially it is Saturday now) - I did an hour workout. I ended the day with a little over 8,000 steps
My blood sugars were a bit more stable today, to my surprise even though I did have more carbs. I did see a big spike after my workout - but that is normal...the body releases glucose when working out. A couple hours later my sugar was a lot better even after having an extra snack.
So what did I eat today?
Meal 1 - Chicken sandwich (with a breaded chicken patty)
Meal 2 - Cheesy noodle bowl
Snack/Dessert - ice cream
Snack later - swiss rolls
Not sure the exact macros for the day, but I think I did burn at least 500 calories in the workout.
I am going to try to get back on the low carb wagon, at least, after the July 4th festivities. I know some will say start now, but that's not realistic for me. I will keep working out though, I think it is helping my blood sugar some at least. I hope if I keep working out and trying to at least keep the calories lower that I will start losing.
What do you think of the plan, and the day of eating/working out?

Well I will focus on that after the 4th of July, like I said...right now I will try to burn calories in working out and eat under 1800 calories (that is a calorie reduction because I was eating 2,000 or more for months)

@just4him I said I would try, not that I have necessarily. Hard to track everything I eat...

In hard workouts yes, I don't know about just going for a walk, and things like that. But the workouts I do are intense lol

I think exercising is always good for losing calories and keeping your glucose down. Have a good weekend.
