Heart worm test today

No, I didn't have to study for it. I wasn't the one being tested. Sophie had to go to the veterinarian this morning for her annual heartworm test, without which the vet wouldn't renew her heartworm (Shouldn't it be anti-heartworm) medicine prescription. I didn't really need to go, but K asked me to, so I did. On the way, she stopped by my favorite McDonald's drive-thru to grab some breakfast. I had my usual sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit with vanilla iced coffee. K's favorite is the breakfast burrito and unsweet tea. When we arrived at the vet, since Sophie only needed the heartworm blood test, and that would be quick, K let me wait in the car while I finished my breakfast. I simply nodded as I had a mouthful of biscuit at the time. The good news is that Sophie is heartworm free. We expected she would be. K makes sure both dogs take their monthly heartworm meds. She keeps a reminder on her calendar. I've also started keeping a reminder on my Outlook Calendar. Thus has my Saturday morning past so far. How is/was your Saturday?

Thank heavens Sophie doesn't have heartworm. Hmmm, burrito sounds really good right about now

K is on a tortilla-wrapped food kick today. Burritos for breakfast. Taquitos for lunch. And she wants to make enchiladas for supper.

Thank you. That photo was taken a year or so ago on our last trip to the Blue Ridge Mountains in western North Carolina.

The only thing I remember from dissecting worms in 7th grade was the smell, not where the heart was. Glad the baby passed her test with flying colors!

After dissecting worms and frogs in 9th-grade biology, I knew being a surgeon was out of the question for me.

Have to be honest, only tried a McD's breakfast once and it was a case of never again. Could be they make them different over here

It can be hit-and-miss over here. The store I visit regularly is well run. You can tell the management does its job right by watching the staff interact and how upbeat they seem while doing their jobs. There are some McD's stores I won't go back to.

Is that Sophie in the picture? I love Corgis. Nothing much going on here. Just trying to catch up on MyLot. I should have been done this morning. Have a good rest of the weekend.
