Hello Today I was just having a stroll along the busy roads in town to buy some grocery. And you all know how Mondays are usually very busy. As i was walking to the grocery, I came across a loud speaker with some women and a pastor singing praises and worship songs Not that I'm saying its annoying but it was very loud disrupting just to capture the attention of the crowd but shockingly everybody was busy, minding his or her own things After shopping, I found that the pastor was just preaching as not many people were gathering to listen to him I really don't know but how can you handle such pastors if it was in your town ?

I think here such people would need a license of some sort before being allowed to do this.

@thebos Corruption is just so hard to counteract. Thankfully we don't have too much of it in Australia but I'm sure there is some.

These street preachers are common in some places here in Manila.

@thebos IIRC no they are not as long as they do not disturb others or cause traffic.

They wouldn’t be allowed to do that in my town. While street preachers are allowed to stand around and preach, they would be asked to leave if they had a loudspeaker, and if they didn’t leave, the police would be called because they would be disturbing the peace.

@thebos Pretty much. The closer you get to the local university the more boisterous it gets, but it never gets out of order because they know the police would be called. The town I grew up in was not peaceful, but the town I live in now mostly is.

It could happen at times. but there are proper venues to do that. Not everyone would want to be disturbed by loud noises.

Can't say I have seen any around here and the traffic noise makes it hard to have a conversation as it is

They might have to have a license here in the States to do that.
