Police officer in Illinois rescue a senior woman from a house fire

Rose Ann Skirha who is a 85 year old female was in her home in Berwyn Illinois on Saturday afternoon when a Berwyn Police officer knocked on her door to ask her as well as her neighbors that a house fire that broke out in the area was ready to consume her home quickly. The Berwyn police officer whose name was not released did Rose a favor by carrying her out of her soon to be burning home to safety. This story has a bittersweet ending since Rose's home that she has lived in for 60 years was destroyed in a matter of minutes which was one of several homes that destroyed by the fire lost everything. The silver lining is that the American Red Cross came to offer assistance to the house fire victims to have a temporary housing until they can get back on their feet. The cause of the house fire is being investigated by the authorities. I feel bad for the victims of the house fire that destroyed their homes.
