No storms so far here today

The initial forecast was for storms to hit the Jersey Shore around 4 pm. It has been cloudy all day but no rain or storms yet. Northern NJ, NYC, and states further north have been nailed. There were even some tornado warnings.
For now it is still just cloudy but a local weather enthusiast that I trust is warning that storms can still pop up in the coming hours. I'm not worried as I'm not going out anywhere and I'm on the 3rd floor so flash flooding isn't an issue. In the past 4 years I've lost power only for short spurts so I don't even worry about that like I used to do when I was back at the house.

It's the rainy season here and we do get typhoons. So far, nothing destructive in my city this year though other cities had been badly affected by flood.

We finally got rain...buckets of it. We won't have to worry about watering our flower bed for a few days.
