Day 350 (Jeremiah 15:15-21) O LORD, You know; remember me and visit me, and take vengeance for me on my persecutors. In Your enduring patience, do not take me away. Know that for Your sake I suffered rebuke. I found Your words and ate them, and Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart; for I am called by Your name, O LORD God of hosts. I did not sit in the assembly of the mockers, nor did I rejoice. I sat alone because of Your hand, for You filled me with indignation. Why is my pain perpetual and my wound incurable which refuses to be healed? Will You be like an unreliable stream to me, as waters that fail? Therefore, thus says the LORD, “If you return, then I will bring you back; you will stand before Me; if you take out the precious from the vile, you will be as My mouth. Let them return to you, but you must not return to them. I will make you a fortified bronze wall to these people, and they will fight against you, but they will not prevail against you; for I am with you to save you and deliver you,” says the LORD. “I will deliver you from the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem you from the grip of the terrible.” What do you do when you see trouble around you? Are you looking for a way out? Do you seek guidance? Jeremiah had been prophesying the destruction of Israel and Judah. God told them He would send His chosen people to the sword, to famine, and to captivity. Jeremiah prayed and asked God to deliver him because he rejoiced in Him. God promised to deliver him from the hand of the wicked and redeem him. Many Christians moan in anguish when trouble comes their way. They will ask other believers to pray for them, but they don’t pray. Jeremiah turned to God first when he saw God’s intention on His people. He asked God to keep him from destruction. Shouldn’t you do the same? Shouldn’t you turn to God first? Shouldn’t you pray and seek His face? When you see trouble in your life, and you will; turn to God first, and then ask your fellow believers to pray with you for God to work in your life. Let God know you rejoice in Him and trust Him. Let Him know you will not allow your foot to wander from His presence and He will deliver you. Let’s pray: Father, You know my life, You see my heart and how much I love You. Keep me in the hollow of Your hand because I rejoice in Your presence. Deliver me from Satan’s destructive blows on my life. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Amen, Thank you for praying for me. Indeed, we should ask God's guidance and help first ourselves before asking others to pray for us.

Yes, perhaps it is only God that can lift us out of the troubles of life, into the peace that his love gives to us. Working with God, we can then solve our problems together.
