Close to God

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead... 1 Peter 1:3 It's crazy how this fallen world consistently tries to drag us away from God. I try to praise God many times a day so I can remember His Greatness, and the fact He loves me. Studying the Bible, Praising God in Song, Thanking Him always for His gifts of Grace and Mercy, thanking Him for everything He has done for me, plus so much more we can do everyday to stay close to God. The biggest want and need of my life is to always feel His presence and if we don't constantly seek Him, we seem to fade further away from the light of our Lord Jesus Christ. I have a very strong faith. I know that he is within me. I stay connected to him in every moment. I am grateful to all that he has provided. Life is a blessing from him and I want to make best use of it.

I found myself praying as I walked my dog this morning, then thanking the Lord for blessing and after blessing as I drove and went throughout the day. I think always keeping that connection open is important.

I think that connection is important also. Walking and praying is always nice. I've heard some preachers say they walk and pray every morning.

We can stay close to God, by our doing nothing that will take us away from him. When we think of God continually, and love him, we will keep ourselves close to him then too.
