RuPaul(born RuPaul Andre Charles) was born in San Diego, California on November 17, 1960. He is the only boy in his family and had three sisters. He is an actor, television personality, author, actor, model, singer, and songwriter. He is best known for judging, hosting, and producing the reality competition series RuPaul's Drage Race which has been on for 12 years. He has received 12 Primetime Emmy Awards, three GLAAD Media Awards, a Critics' Choice Television Award, two Billboard Music Awards, and a Tony Award. He was never 'in the closet'. His mother was such a unique person, a real rebel, that Ru's childhood was full of dressing up and just being himself. He was a person who would understand things others did not. His mother was so fed up with normal life that she was excited by Ru's different take on life. He has been in a rock band, did LSD, worked in a car business, go-go danced, was trying out new fashions and his type of drag was 'messy drag' back in the beginning. His type of drag now is glamour drag. She has been a drag queen for 30+ years. He has been in a relationship with a man who is a rancher from Wyoming for several decades. What I find really interesting about his take on life is that men need to dress in drag. They need to understand that side of themselves. He feels that your life isn't complete until you learn to explore all aspects of life. You should see his mansion/home. It is done in black, white, and orange which is his favorite color.
