Vegetables like parval which we call potol in bengali grow in covered sheds. It is a form of covered farming. In the countryside a macha or cover is created. The good thing is they grow from the top to the bottom and bulge at the bottom. As the plants cannot sustain strong sunlight there are sheds created. These vegetables are used in different curries.
