On my first walk, I went to the back of the apartment complex to the dirt road. I saw a stick vacuum sitting under a tree (people put weird things out there) and wondered if it worked.
I came home, did another post, and went back out.
On my first walk, I also saw the mail carrier in her truck--they sure come early these days! So, before I went back out to the dirt trail, I picked up my mail. I got yet another book, and ad, and something from one of my mail exchange groups of facebook, I'm guessing. I don't recognize the sender, so I'll have to see what's in it to be sure.
It's warm out there--the temperature on my computer says 74° F. 
Now to see if this vacuum works. If it doesn't, it's going to the dumpster.

At some of my apartments in the past, people would leave half-way decent stuff out for others, maybe this happened.

Yes, that's happened here before, too. I have a side table by my reading chair because someone left it out.

It always amazes me that people just toss stray items like they do, that are perfectly fine. Good for you!!
