Is there Anyone Who is Dependent Upon Online Earnings only?

I have been reading a lot lately and came to know about different websites that I am yet to join but I like to read comments of different users and have found many users that are dependent upon online earnings for their living and most of these users were from Africa, Nigeria and a very few from other parts of the world.
So I was thinking if it's not too risky to depend upon online earnings for a living.

Nope. Enough online earnings to live on doesn't exist, unless you already belong to a company and they let you work-from-home.

I don’t think it is possible, but then in Africa, the cost of living seems to be drastically different. One mylotter from Africa said he made the equivalent of $30 a week. So, while onlline earnings may go a long way with them, I still kind of doubt they live off of them. I could be wrong though.

@Butterfingers In America, that would get you four days of food for one person if you were lucky. I guess it all depends on your country.

I do not think anyone can survive only on online earnings I do not and I hardly earn anyway online

Those that make a living on that are few and far between. Maybe if you are a blogger with lots of views or something or have a real work from home job.

if they don't have a lot of groups that make them make a lot of money then earning online is not enough for that.
Often there are WhatsApp numbers from Nigeria sent to my mother's number for which it is not clear what the destination is with someone else's photo.
