Police and animal control officers rescue a kangaroo

Thanks to the actions of an alert animal lover who saw a young kangaroo who was wandering on Interstate 435 in Edwardsville Kansas last Thursday afternoon, police officers as well as animal control officers who teamed up to pick up the kangaroo.
The kangaroo was then taken by the police officers to their headquarters where the kangaroo spent time behind bars which is kind of odd since normally an animal that is picked up by the police would likely go to an animal shelter.
The good news is that the kangaroo was reunited with the owner of the kangaroo on Thursday.
The owner of the kangaroo took his pet to a veterinarian to be treated for injuries suffered in an auto accident on the interstate I am sure that the kangaroo will be healed from his injuries.

You are right that the kangaroo needs a proper home since the kangaroo is lucky to be alive after the auto accident.

??? That is odd. As to putting the kangaroo in a cell, I don't know if they would have had a space to fit it in an Animal Shelter.

Now I wonder where that kangaroo was going, Perhaps it was looking for its parents, I am glad it was rescued and I hope he will be all right,
