Dinner at Cracker Barrel

Last night I treated my friend to dinner at The Cracker Barrel restaurant. She and I had the exact same thing and turns out we both always order it when we go to the Cracker Barrel restaurant. We had chicken and dumplings with mashed potatoes and biscuits. We did have different veggies: I had broccoli and she had fried okra. She brought half of her meal home. What do you like to order when you go to the Cracker Barrel?

I usually get their grilled chicken, baby carrots, and their cole slaw. The chicken is always very good, not dry. I do like chicken and dumplings, but I make those for the kids at times, so when I go out, I get something else.

I haven’t been in awhile, but the last time I ate there, I think I had the chicken fried steak with a side of fried okra, and I’m not sure of the other one. I requested cornbread muffins though instead of biscuits.
