Singing Group at Lake Huron City Park

There is a nice band stand situated, at the end of Tawas City Park. As I sat in my vehicle this morning sipping a fresh cup of coffee, I heard Christian Music in the distance.
I moved my vehicle to the end of City Park and walked over to the band stand to listen. It was so beautiful, yet they were only practicing at this early hour. The official concert was starting at 10:00A.
A man who was in charge looked over and then, walked in my direction. Oh my gosh, it was Steve K a very nice person that I attended high school with. He thought I was my sister! lol
He was a couple grades ahead of me, I only knew Steve from a distance. We talked for over an hour, about the beautiful life we've found, trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Steve and Theda(his wife)are wonderful Christians, serving the Lord together in fullness
His parents owned the grocery store in East Tawas, for many years. Now, Steve runs the exact same family business, at this time. I have known this for a long time.

I don't think I have ever seen a group play Christian music in a public park. I have been to many Christian concerts over the years, and even one year I went to Night of Joy at Disney World (it's an overnight event where many Christian groups perform throughout the night).

@kobesbuddy It was an incredibly uplifting experience, and a very memorable one too. I hope to do it again someday.

That Night of Joy must have been so uplifting, such wonderful entertainment! We took teenagers(I was a chaperone) to a Petra concert years back. We had such a good time, the teens were wonderful. They didn't cause an ounce of problem. One boy, Mike, had run out of money. We stopped for ice cream on our way home, he looked so sad! I gave him money to get a cone, his face lit up like a candle!

I have seen That a couple of times when I have visited the US during summer. I remember, once, a classical concert given in front of the Capitol in Masidon Wisconsin. People sat on the grass and listened to the music.

Music has always played a big part in my life. No, I'm not a professional, far from it! But my love for music has kept me from giving up, at times. Life is very hard, often painful. This is considered normal, yet I didn't enjoy going through this. Who does?
