A portrait of Ace in his younger days

The photo is of a painting Son2 and GF had made from a picture I took years ago of Ace playing with a soccer ball.
They gave me the painting at Christmas along with a gift card to have it framed at Michael's. I think I posted about that earlier.
Today, I picked up the portrait and hung it over the mantle in our living room.
This is how I will always remember Ace - a playful, loving dog who loved spending time with his human dad. I still see sparks of this in him now and again, but ...
Do you have any framed portraits or photographs or your favorite pets?

We have several hanging in the kitchen. Horses, dogs and cats. The last 3' dogs we lost are not up there as we ran out of room.
I love that one of him. I still see my Bambi supervising me working in the backyard. She would lay on the picnic table

@DWDavis I could fill a couple of those with just dogs. But we have usually had 2 to 5 at a time. Right now we have 3.

That was such a wonderful idea and I'm sure it's now a treasured gift. We have lots of photos of our various pets but only one framed one and that's of our ponies. They are absolutely intent on a bucket of chaff that is on the ground.

I remember you talking about Ace a long time ago.
We have our Dalmatian in a photo frame - not exactly but a laminate. He lived for ten and a half years leaving behind happy memories

What a beautiful painting! It must hurt though to see him age. I currently have a framed picture of my old dog, Leno I got as a Christmas gift from my sister. Leno was a chihuahua given to me on my 17th birthday, and such a special little guy. I still miss him.

I took a photo of Freckles and Goldie playing on my bed, and my mom loved it. She said it captured them both perfectly. So, I had it blown up to poster size and framed it for her for her birthday one year. It’s still here in my house.

I used to have portraits of my late dogs Wimpy and Hero who were brothers who were adopted by my relatives in Panama in 1974. The problem is that when my relatives moved to another home a few years ago, the photos must have been lost when my relatives and myself moved to a new home.

Ace was a lucky guy to have a Dad like you. That is a very special gift and framing it and where you put it so you can see him all the time is nice. I have pictures of some of my pets that I made into pictures but my present cat I have her pictures on the computer and inside the camera.

That's a great photo. Yes, we have a couple of framed photos that were given to me as gifts...and one I framed because it was a favorite. I miss our dogs so much. Enjoy your day.
