Auntie Hen was at work early this morning

Auntie Hen covers the vacuum. I woke up when K's alarm went off and decided to get the carpets taken care of right away. Sophie was her usual helpful self, barking to herd the vacuum. Later, once the Swiffer mini-vac charges, I will take care of the hardwood floors in the kitchen and laundry room. I have yet to make my coffee or cook my breakfast. I won't be going out today, so have to eat my own cooking. It looks like another hot and humid day in store for us here in eastern NC. How did/is your morning going so far?

You sound like you had a great night's sleep getting so many of your chores done bright and early this morning. I do like the cover for the vacuum cleaner, quite cute. I'd love to find one of those for a canister vacuum, our little granddaughters are so afraid of even seeing the vacuum cleaner when it is unplugged, never mind when it is out and plugged in. I hope that they change their tune as they will need to know how to run one, as we all do.

Maybe they don't like the noise? Many modern appliances seem to be unbearably noisy.

I didn't get up to do house chores, but I've been up for three hours already. All of it is on the computer. I'll be eating breakfast soon. That's a great way to hide the vacuum. Is the other one the Swiffer?

You got an early start to your day. Grannie Frog is the carpet shampooer. The Swiffer is much smaller, and we keep it in the kitchen closet downstairs.

I was up at 6:30am this morning, in preparation to leave at 8am for my doctor’s appointment at 9am. Nothing big going on at all.

Aren't you just the best husband? Kudos for doing the vacuuming. It's 6 am here and I'm getting a late start on MyLot. Things are OK here as they can be. Enjoy your day and try to stay cool. P. S. Love the vacuum covers.

We haven't much carpet to vacuum. I'm usually done in 20 minutes or so. Now that I'm retired, I've broken the chores down into small daily bits that can be done in under an hour a day.

@DWDavis Hubs used to make me a PB&J sandwich and peel a banana for me every day when I came home from work. That was the extent of his retired chores.

It got up to 91F/33C here today. When I went out to get the mail, the combination of sun and hot air hurt my skin.

We had another rainy day mixed with sun. I went out while the sun was shining and returned and a half hour later thunder and rain and my cat Freddie heading for the closet to hide, Our days have cooled off some but now the rain won't go away,

We stayed overnight with my BIL. We went to bed very late, so woke up late and virtually nothing has been done since! Oh well, back to normal tomorrow.

My morning was fine. Woke up earlier than my alarm and went straight to exercise and drink my morning drink. Then off to housechores -- cooking breakfast, do laundry and clean the house. Plus I bathe the dog because it was really hot in our place.
