Taking Metal Scraps to the Recycling Center

Today, Jay and I are going to Bay City, to the recycling center. Each week, Jay gathers up metals from our neighborhood, so we can be paid for recycling it.
Last week, the debris amounted to $87 in our pocket. Gosh, this was more than a fair amount to earn, for simply taking a load of metal to the recycling center. Plus, we feel good about doing this, for our community.
And this junk would have been thrown in a landfill, somewhere. Can you imagine how much metal that would amount to, in a year's time? Buried in a hole for centuries? I can't even imagine!
It's no wonder our land is getting more polluted, as time passes by. We're trying to make a difference, by doing our small part to bring about change.

@BelleStarr You have been through a lot over the past few years. God has taken care of everything. Yet, that inner pain takes a long time to heal up:) That's when we rely on the Lord, his peace is what comforts us!

Good for you...When some metal collectors came around here I gave them quite a bit. I was happy to have them come out, and they took a Large CRT TV of mine too.

Some of the electrical things have to be torn apart. They don't pay for some of the things, that make it weigh more.
