What do you do if you don't like the christmas present of your girl/boyfriend?

Would you pretend that you like it or tell her/him that you don't like it and brake her/his feelings?

i was always taught to appreciate what you are given. i know sometimes people (even close lovers or friends) give something we dont really want or need but it is what they thought you would like at the time... and as another poster said, i would cherish everything my partner gave me as they would be the love of my life (or id not be with them) and if it was really something i didnt like, id keep it but drop subtle hints when out shopping with them about things i liked (different price ranges too) so that maybe they will take the hint next time if they chose to give me a gift (which id not expect anyway)

That is a good question. hmmm and it's tough, I would let them know. Usually my boyfriend tells me to tell him if I don't care for a particular gift, so he can take it back or get me what I want. It is hard to tell them you don't like it.

I would pretend to like it and even wear it (if it was clothes) but I wont hurt his feeling's and tell him, it's ugly.

I would definitely pretend to like it. It's not worth fighting over and maybe losing the person.

I would pretend. I would assume that the giver put a lot of thought into it and I wouldn't want to hurt that person. If it is clothing, I would later say it didn't fit, easy fix.

If i got a present i didn't really like i would still act like i did like it. I would appreciate any gift. After all it's the thought that counts, isnt it?
