Back from the pool

It is an absolute gorgeous day out there. It is currently 87 degrees F and sunny but it doesn't feel all super-hot and humid and gross. I have the windows open here at the apartment and don't even need to turn on a fan. I could have stayed longer at the pool but I didn't want to get burned. My face looks a bit red but I'm hoping that it will calm down overnight. I'm going to have to start using sunscreen. I haven't been since I already had a good base tan from indoor tanning but I need to get with the program and use it moving forward. I chatted with a neighbor that I had seen several times but hadn't spoken to. I also talked with a woman that I met about a week ago. She is really nice. I can see myself having her over for dinner eventually. The autistic guy and his mother were there. He was well-behaved. I was surprised that there weren't more people there being that it is so nice out and it is a Sunday. I honestly haven't seen it busy at all so far this summer. The $50 pool fee really must have deterred residents. Supposedly one of the managers told someone that the fee for the pool pass was to weed out some of the more "undesirable" people from using it. I don't even know what to make of that but it certainly has thinned the herd in terms of how many people are there on any given day. Now I am on to some kitchen projects--homemade ricotta, stracciatella gelato, and dinner (turkey meatloaf). What's everyone else up to this afternoon?

Some of the funds are probably used to maintain the pool. Good idea about 'weeding out the undesirable' people.

Yes you would not be able to get in the pool if there was one here as the undesirables would take it. Nice here today didnt do much but cook Sunday dinner..over 100F today.

Don't you get too toasty in the sun? I guess the cool pool water helps, Glad you get to chat with some neighbors too.

I am working on sharing some good news stories on this site as well as completing surveys today under a hot sun outside at 95 degrees Fahrenheit.

People are probably p**sed that they paid $50 last year and the pool didn't open. Enjoy your day.
