Do not allow your ego to dictate to your consciousness

The spiritual master, Sri Gretor Planksla, was giving a lecture about the roles of our soul, our ego, and our mind, in our lives. Here is how he put it: "Your ego is an attachment to your soul, created by your soul, which allows a personality to exist for a while, separate from your soul personality, as like the subconscious mind, which can act for itself by rote, so to speak, the soul allows its ego creation to act for it in rote too, but this sometimes backfires on a soul, when the ego works alone for itself, and drops it creator's connection, to its soul." "Our ego then is a creation of our soul, and should always remain under our soul's influence. Our ego should not be allowed to master, or to control us." "When we keep our ego under the harness of our soul, it works for us then, as when a horse has been broken in, and our divine self then shines through us, including through our ego self too." "Our mind can either work with our soul, or with our ego." "Our mind reaches into our heart, when our heart programs it with love, but it reaches out to our ego, when our ego is influencing it." "Our mind never comprehends anything more, that it is allowed to, from its own programming." "Our mind comprehends nothing within itself, but only processes all of its programmed responses to the input, coming to it, either generated from our ego, or from our soul." "Our mind treats this input all in the same way. The place it comes from, doesn't matter much. Our mind just processes what it receives." "Our ego is not our true self then, but it can work for our true self, instead of against it, when our mind is working through our heart, and is not being programmed by our ego self too." "Truth lives in our heart, and truth can fashion our life, and truth will often discipline us, if we need to be disciplined, because we have abandoned truth, to embrace the pseudo truths of our ego." "We lose trust and faith in God, when we live from an ego, full of itself, and emptied of God. We need to keep our ego as our servant, not allow it to be our master, instead." "'Ego is the immediate dictate of human consciousness.'" "Max Planck, (1858 to 1947) the renowned German scientist said this." "Do not allow your ego to dictate to your consciousness, but allow your consciousness to be dictated to by the love in your heart instead." "Our consciousness is also a good tool of our soul, but it can be a bad tool, if it is used by our ego, and so our awareness will be stonkered/blinded by our ego's blinkers then too." The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked. Who can know this? Jeremiah 17:9. I have to disagree with this man's idea about the ego and the soul.

@innertalks I agree. God needs to be in the heart for the heart to know God's love.

@just4him Yes, nicely put. We need God, and his love, in our lives to know, and to love, God, in our lives. Our heart is needed, as well as our mind, and our soul, to be connected to God, and to love God, for our lives to run fully in the service of God.

A heart with sin in it is like that, but Saint Paul reminds us in Ephesians that Jesus Christ can reside in our hearts. Ephesians, chapter 3, verse 17: '"Christ may make His home in your hearts” “That Christ may make His home in your hearts through faith, that you, being rooted, and grounded, in love.”' And, in the book of 1 Samuel, chapter 16, verse 7, it says: 'But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”' And so God can see a good heart, with love in it that is innocently alive for him too. It tends to be our ego, which is the pride in us, that will corrupt the innocence in us, and turn our childlike heart of love, into evil desires instead. Without God in us, all parts of us will tend to be wicked and deceitful. With God in us, all parts of us can live in the service of God, doing good, and with the energy of love in them.

Our life is better when we work with our soul.

Yes, it is a whole lot better for us working with our soul, than it is in our working with our ego alone.

Some people do tell us to get rid of our ego, but usually not to get rid of our mind too. Both can serve us, if we are using them rightly, and if we do not allow them to control us. Many an angry person is controlled by an angry mind, and by an anger filled ego too. Perhaps, I would rather just be a heart person, rather than my trying to unravel my mind at times too.

Ego makes us see ourselves as different from others with a superior/ Inferior complex attached to it. That then works against the oneness of humanity leading to division, strife and war. When our mind is influenced by our soul that leads us to the universal soul which is the energy of creation. Thereby, we are with our creator and aligned with his path. The choice is clear but we choose to go against common sense and then wallow in misery.

Our ego can become boastful and full of its own wants, so we live life only to try to gain stuff, and become rich and vain as a result of this wanton living. With our soul, and God, aligning us to love, we can live a worthwhile life serving God, and our fellow man then too.

@Shiva49 Yes, we should be more directed towards love, and to living a life of service for God, rather than our living an empty shallow life for ourselves, fed by our greed too.

@innertalks Yes, we tend to embrace material possessions rather than God with our lifestyle. Then our goal is temporary while the latter path is permanent. We end up fickle-minded, sadly, in our pursuits. That is clearly reflected in the state of affairs of our world.

Our heart, soul, ego all work together to make us who we are. They cannot be separated.

Some people, with a big ego, sure try hard to live separately from that inflated ego alone though. They ignore their heart and soul input altogether.
