Day 16 Zephaniah 3:14 Sing, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O Israel! Be glad and rejoice with all your heart, O daughter of Jerusalem! 15 The LORD has taken away your judgments, He has cast out your enemy. The King of Israel, the LORD, is in your midst; you will see disaster no more. 16 In that day it will be said to Jerusalem: “Do not fear; Zion, let not your hands be weak. 17 The LORD your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” 18 “I will gather those who sorrow over the appointed assembly, who are among you, to whom its reproach is a burden. 19 Behold, at that time I will deal with all who afflict you; I will save the lame and gather those who were driven out; I will appoint them for praise and fame in every land where they were put to shame. 20 At that time I will bring you back, even at the time I gather you; for I will give you fame and praise among all the people of the earth, when I return your captives before your eyes,” says the LORD. Hope. Everyone wants to see better days. They want to know an end to their troubles. They want to sing and shout because the end of their troubles has come. God gave His people hope. He told them the day would come when they would be glad and rejoice because He would take away their judgments and get rid of their enemy. In that day, He would dwell with them, and they would never see disaster again. He would rejoice over them with gladness and singing. Has anyone ever rejoiced over you? Have they given you a reason to hope? Do you look for the day when you see trouble no more? Many people see this hope as a pipedream. Something that will never happen. Yet God said it will happen and He would sing and rejoice over you. As Christians, you have hope. You know the day will come when God brings you out of every trouble. Just as He promised His people that He would rejoice over them with gladness and singing, He will sing and rejoice over you. God said He would drive out all those who brought harm to His people. He would save the lame and gather those who were driven from their homes. His people would never see shame again. As God promised this to His people, He makes this promise to you because you accepted His Son, Jesus, as your Savior and Lord. You belong to Him and He will take care of you in the same way as He cares for His chosen people. You belong to Him. It’s time you let Satan know you belong to the Lord God and He takes care of you. When you stand firm upon God’s Word, read, study, pray, praise, and worship God, Satan will flee. God will restore you and bring you to a place of rest. You will know peace and joy because God rejoices over you with singing. Let’s pray: Father, thank you for Your Word which gives me hope when life presses in on me. Let Your Word fill me so that when Satan comes against me, I have Your Word as a weapon against him and all he intends against me. Let me know joy and gladness because You rejoice over me with singing. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Copyright © 29 July 2023 by Valerie Routhieaux The image belongs to me.

God calls himself the King of Israel there, but after his son came, he became King of us all. I often wonder why he kept himself involved only with a certain people back then, and the rest of humanity, mostly did not know him at all. All of the Australian Aboriginals, living in Australia already at that time, for example, had little opportunity to know this real God, but had to create their own Gods, in what they called the dreaming.

They knew Him through their prophets, first Moses when He gave him the law, and then the others. I'm guessing that since they didn't listen to His prophets, they wouldn't have listened with direct contact. In fact, when God spoke so all could hear Him, they begged Moses to let Him speak through him and they would listen. You know how that went.
