Remembering Covid

At the peak of the pandemic there was no dearth of news about deaths occurring on a daily basis.
The media did not hesitate in posting pictures of coffins piled up ready to be buried. They even talked of there being no space in the cemeteries nor were there enough people to handle this ghastly situation.
Happy all this is history now and we can all breathe easy.
Even though this did not happen around here the news was enough to give us sleepless nights.
Looking back I cannot think of the days we had to wash whatever we bought from stores, the masks, the social distancing. Hope none of our future generations will have to face this.

I’m glad that we’ve learned to live with it. I still wear my mask most places and try to be careful. It’s not being talked about so much anymore, but it’s still making people sick and killing some.
