England deserved to level Ashes series against Australia.

England played fine brand of cricket this summer. But due to lack of finishing could not retain the Ashes. Australia took it back. But 2 - 2 was a fare result. Broad retired. He got 604 wickets. He was a great asset for England over the years. Fast bowling is a very tedious exercise. So when fast bowlers get more than 500 wickets their efforts deserve appreciation.

thanks Arunimaji from Indian experience I always feel the job of a fast bowler is harder than the job of a batsman. Kapil Devsahab is considered to be the greatest all rounder India has ever produced. Still his feat of taking 434 test wickets stands tall. We will get many Virat Kohlis and Rohit Sharmas but not another Kapil Dev. From that point of view Broad or Anderson's achievement speaks about hard work, dedication and serious fitness.

@sathviksouvik I agree there. Getting a good fast bowler is not easy. A strong team should have more all rounders than strong batsmen. Somehow, Indian team always had a strong batting line.

@arunima25 thanks Arunimaji another problem in India is that the pitches are deliberately prepared for spinners. Excepting Mohali wicket or Eden gardens wickets, fast bowlers in India hardly get proper bouncy pitch which are lively. Spinners get wicket after wicket

thanks Winterishare Anderson should have retired by now. Selectors should take harsh decisions. Then only young brigade will win matches for the team. For example India can get rid of Ashwin
