An Early Morning

I’m up early this morning. I must be at the hospital early to have my finger pricked. All of you who take warfarin know what I’m talking about. I normally go once a month but last week my number was way to high, so here I go back today. I don’t know how it happened because I hadn’t eaten more vitamin K than usual. Anyway cross your fingers I get a good number today. Hope your day goes well in your part of the world.

@RubyHawk Oh darn. I will cross my toes too next time. I suppose the numbers fluctuate a lot throughout the day - depending on all kinds of factors. I hope next week's will be good then. It's a beautiful trail!

@much2say Thanks, I appreciate the crossed fingers and toes. It seems I hadn’t eaten enough vitamin K, but I’d eaten about the same food I always do.Anyway she adjusted my med dosage.

Thank you for the crossed fingers but it didn’t work. My numbers are still high but a little better. I have to check in again next week. It is a beautiful place to walk. I’m so glad we have a nature trail.

It is a beautiful place to walk.My numbers were better but not good enough.I have to go back next week. The nurse readjusted my med.

I surely will. My numbers are still too high but lower than last week.The nurse changed my dosage again. Maybe that will do the trick. I do like walking under the trees.

@RubyHawk I was supposed to go to the doc a couple of months ago for a BP recheck. I never went .but I do monitor it at home.

I didn’t go to sleep but I did lie down and rest awhile. My numbers were still too high, better than last week though, so I have an appointment for next week. The nurse changed my dosage again.

Not usually but I take warfarin and sometimes the medicine has to be adjusted. This is one of those times.
