I didn't attend her bday

It was my niece's birthday yesterday. But I chose not to go because someone has to keep an eye on the store.
Though I would assumed it was a debut kind of party because she turned 18, turn out to be just a simple feast.
Honestly, I didn't want to go because mom was inviting some of her friends already. And I heard they didn't get a tour of the top floor patio.
I don't know. I kept rejecting any invite to go out for some reason.. it's been a sad habit of mine lately.
