Heading to town today, eventually

There are three things I need to do in town today. The first is to fill the camper's propane tanks for next week's stay at Jordan Lake. The second is to fill the Beast so it can pull the camper to Jordan Lake and home again. The third is to pick up Ace's meds at the vet. I might also decide to treat myself to lunch in town, considering it will be about that time when I leave the house. I've spent the morning doing book marketing and making phone calls. I did take the pups out this morning. It was a bit cool, 63F/17C. Rather refreshing after the July we had. How is your Thursday going?

It was a bit aggravating as still having the problem with that one site .and the internet didn't like the rain. The free tomatoes were nice though

@DWDavis This connection doesn't need an excuse to act up. The worst for mine seems to be wind. It seems like it blows the signal off course.

The rain doesn't bother our internet as much as the heat does. When the heat index gets up to and over 100F, streaming seems to slow down.

We started our day at 80F, so you got the nicer temp. We're supposed to be over 100F today. Way too hot to do anything outside. I slept this morning and will go back to sleep again in a little while then wake up for the day around 5 pm. I hope you're enjoying your day.

It turned out to be a pleasant day. We are having a short spell of relatively cooler temps this week. Starting Sunday, it's back to hazy, hot, and humid with a RealFeel in the upper 90s or low 100s.

Retirement is something I am still getting used to. As a teacher, I was used to summers off. If I was still working, today would be the last weekday of summer break and Monday would be the first workday of the new school year. Monday, I will be relaxing at my campsite at Jordan Lake.
