It seemed like a good idea.

I was given some hanging baskets by my mother-in-law and I found some metal brackets that slot over the fence posts so you don't have to drill anything. Excellent, I thought, this will make putting the brackets up much easier. Well, it did, sort of. The brackets are excellent and uniform in size and shape. Do you know what isn't uniform in size and shape? Concrete fence posts! A few of the brackets slotted over easily, others had to be bent to shape and pushed and pulled into position. I got a rigorous upper body work out as well as hanging baskets. Have you ever bought something expecting it to be easily assembled or placed and then discovered things were not so simple?

I'm glad you were able to use the brackets, even if they were a pain in the rear end to assemble. I'm sure the plants look great!

The plants do look great. I've put tomatoes in four of the baskets and there's plenty of fruits but nearly all green still because we've had very dull and wet weather.

@KarenAnne You could always pick a few, slice them up, bread them and fry them. My mom loved fried green tomatoes. It's been really hot in my part of the US but at least we're still getting rain every few days.

At least half of what I've bought that required assembly or installation has turned out to be more challenging than I thought it would be. It always seems to be the last step that's the most difficult.
