Yesterday it was mounting day at art class.
My taxi came at 1:17pm and my Mum was home because the Luncheon Club has broken up for the summer holidays, and she was the one who told me my taxi had come.
When I got there the tables were set out differently, in two rows. There was some masking tape and double sided sticky tape on each table. I was the first to arrive and I got myself a cup of green tea using my own green T-bags. I timed my tea for 3 minutes, and one of the tutors came up and said, "Are you timing it?" and I said , "Yes!" Apparently the other tutors son also times his, and he said it was a obvious thing to do. I had a sneaky chocolate biscuit too. I went and sat down..
When we were all there, the tutor explained what we were going to be doing. There were some coloured card on tables at the side that were trimmed to size, and some further up not yet trimmed to size. We chose five or six of our best paintings, then we chose coloured card that matched the colours or brought out the colours in each painting. We took those back to our tables, and we took a ruler and drew a line about 5 cm from each side, on all sides. Then we took it to one of the tutors, who cut out the centre with a craft knife. Then we stuck the painting to it with masking tape. Then we took another sheet and cut off about 1 cm from two sides with a trimmer, so that it was slightly smaller than the other sheet, and we stuck that to the back with double sided cellotape. We then put our names and Thursday PM on the back to designate which art class we belonged to.
The little dog was there again, but they forgot to open the door, and she did a pee on the floor of the hall! Her Mum, whose name is Lee, said, Oh, Esmee! She asked for kitchen roll and disinfectant to mop up the mess. But it wasn't the little dogs fault, she was desperate and she couldn't get out to go!
I told the tutors that I'd invited some people to the exhibition.
When we'd finished our mounting, we put our paintings on the side, in piles according to what type of art it was, so there was a pile for pencil drawings, one for oil pastels, one for watercolours and one for acrylics. I had 2 pencil drawings mounted, 1 watercolour and 3 acrylics.
I saw a car arrive, and said, "Was that my taxi?" Paul said, " Yes. Has he come to take you to the Tate Gallery?" I said, "Ha, ha!"
When I got home I gave the taxi driver his £10 plus a £5 tip and told him I wouldn't be needing any more taxis. My Mum and step-dad had gone out to get the fish and chips for Mum's birthday dinner. I went and got my socks and shoes off, and went to the loo, and when I came back out they were back. I had fish and mushy peas.
The little art exhibition is tomorrow at Wall Village Hall from 3-5pm. My Mum's friend Frances is giving us a lift there.
What have you been getting up to?
I hope you are all well.
Have a nice day.

@LadyDuck Thank you very much. They did. Everyone said how talented I am and that my paintings are really good. Lots of people said they love the cup and saucer that I did in week 1! When I told them that was the first thing I did, they were flabbergasted!

Yes, she did. Poor little thing!
Thank you very much, I'm glad you think so.
I'm glad you had a good week. Let's hope next week is just as good.

You'd come all the way from Ireland to see my exhibition, if you didn't have anything else on? That's very nice of you! I wish you could come.
