Should I call my mom?

My nieces want to visit my parents tomorrow. Usually, they send a message to FB messenger before visiting. One reason is they want to make sure that my parents are at home. Otherwise, it is a waste of time and money. Since I live abroad, in this circumstance, I usually video call my mom a day before my nieces visit them. But today, I don't feel like doing it. I get drained by her negativity. When she picks up the phone, she'd give you a cold response. She makes sure that she fires negative bullets so your day is ruined. I know I may sound like a cruel, ungrateful daughter but sometimes, the sight of her makes me irritated. Much more when she starts talking. I am afraid if call her tonight, I would have another anxiety attack.
