My state Odisha is experiencing severe flood situation

It has been raining dogs and cats since a few days. The water level of river Mahanadi which runs through most parts of Odisha bearing different names has risen submerging most low lying areas and villages. Farmers have lost their crops under water that's threatening their livelihood. People in most cities are experiencing waterlogging with overflowing drainage water entering their house causing extensive damage. With so much of damage to vegetables farms ,vegetables prices will rise once again and become scarves too. Hope the situation improves and things become normal once again. I am thankful to God that my city hasn't been affected as yet.

I pray your city will not be affected by the flooding and that the rain will move elsewhere that needs rain.

It hasn't yet but the monsoon is yet to go. We are waiting with crossed fingers. Roads in my city have been damaged and the dams are releasing lot of water.

That looks like a river - I don't doubt it has caused a lot of water damage to structures and crops ! I hope the rains stop soon and that the people stay safe!

My city is still safe but if the Mandira dam releases more water there are possibilities of flood.

@RebeccasFarm People are still to recover the damage done by water logging. It's now Himachal Pradesh suffering from cloud busts and landslides.

Things are turning towards the better as the rain stops but houses and roads have suffered heavy damage.

Yes, that's true. It's all because of climate change.

Sorry to hear this news. Water is a powerful element. Too much or too little can cause harm. Hope there will be fast recovery.

Because of the mindless handling of nature by some human being.
