Friendship Red Flag

How do you know if a person/ friend is a red flag? Do you always listen to your intuition? When I was a university student, a lot of my classmates have vices. I shun away from those who would encourage me to booze even though they know I don't drink. That is a major turn-off to me. Last year, an ex-friend called me just to tell me that she was invited to a birthday party and the guests gossiped about this certain woman who has a filthy house. She was so eager to know if the gossip were true. Thus she contacted me. My answer was, " You know what, this woman has two toddlers. A three-year-old son who is handicapped and another child who is only one year old. It is not easy to take care of two toddlers. But honestly, I should have told her " Mind your business".

I just know they are red flag haha. My mom has good intuition and I may have got some from her. Also, I always stay away from them and so do they. As most of them consider me as a nerd, even tho I am not, but i look like one. So, we do not talk haha.

Oh same. Some people think I am nerd. Do you believe in first impression?

@Anqaya I don't believe in fisrt impression. I try to get to know the person. I am not a nerd, I just enjoy talking about books that I like. And some interesting topics. Some people think these are the characteristics of a nerd. So they think I am a nerd.

@Iam_jauntyjen Haha no I don't. At least not for everyone. I know my mom and grandmother believes in first impression. But I am a Gen Z and I know we do not want to show our full personality in our first impression, unless it's a job interview. We instead ask about others and see that person's social media accounts to see what type of personality he has. U must be a nerd then haha! Do u believe in first impression?

I would have told her to call and ask the woman if she needed help instead of gossiping about her.
