Normally I do not post stories of college football players in this post unless they are involved in an act of saving the life of a stranger or a relative who is in trouble. Gabriel Reliford who played high school football at Evangel High School in Shreveport Louisiana who will be playing college football at Texas A & M this fall is being praised by his community when a few years ago he was walking on a streets with his two of his siblings when a pit bull attacked his then 10 year old brother Emmanuel Reliford as his siblings did run away to their home. Gabriel who is six foot three inches tall and weighs 257 pounds was able to stop the pit bull from seriously injuring his sibling even though Emmanuel had to make several visits to the hospital to deal with bite marks on his leg. The fate of the pit bull was not mentioned if the dog was to put to sleep or not. Gabriel after his heroic act of saving his younger brother from the attack of the pit bull was on the cover of the Shreveport Elite 11. I like the thinking of Gabriel to use his football skills to save the life of his younger brother who was attacked by a pit bull even though most pit bulls are sweet dogs by nature. You are right since my relatives would never adopt a Pit Bull or Doberman Pinscher.

People really need to keep their dogs enclosed. My guess would be that dog was put down. With an attack like that, they almost always are.

It would be difficult to stop a pit bull attack if it was determined enough.

That is true since a pit bull is a dangerous animal to mess with.
