The Zen master, Artip Verlaski, claimed that he had contact with the spiritual realms, and that he could talk to a certain angel, named Zapheal. The master then claimed that he had been given a spiritual message to pass on to the world. It was a fairly simple one, that stated, that every person has the ability to contact an angel, and in fact, every person has an angel, often referred to as their guardian angel, always with them in their lives. This angel, is assigned to a soul at their birth, and accompanies them into Heaven too, at their death. Every soul returns to Heaven after the body-self dies, and it is in Heaven where a review is made with them of their just completed life. We are to walk side by side in living a simple life here, with our angel, helping us to live a quality life for God. When we stay connected to God, we need never worry about our future. We never should think about changing, manipulating, or enhancing, the future that God apportions to us to live from. The Zen master had a statue of his angel friend, in his monastery’s Zen garden. On the statue was a plaque that read: “Without inner love, there can be no outer love.” This meant that to try to love someone with only outer love, is never felt as love, as it is seen through as being a type of love with no depth, or deepness, to it. Love must come out from us from our inner self, to be real love. We should not wander through life on our own then, but walk forwards, through life, with our assigned angel. Interesting. I believe in angels, and the Bible talks about our angels, but I don't rely on my angel. I rely on my Savior, Jesus Christ. When we live our lives in step with Jesus, we will love as He loved - from the inside out.

Yes, we should rely on Jesus Christ first, l agree with that too, but at times, God will use an angel to get a message through to us, and we should take notice of that too. The Catholic church thinks that Saint Mary, and other Saints, can give us helpful messages in our lives too.

@innertalks I agree with you that angels give us messages from God. There's never been one instance when Mary or the saints gave helpful messages. It has always been angels.

@just4him There is a claim, or two, that Saint Mary has appeared to some people, and told them a message to give out to the world, though. They claim it was a vision. The most well known appearance was to some children, in Lourdes, France, in 1858.

For love to be more than skin-deep, we must take on board our creator and feel his presence in our thoughts and actions. Love should emanate from our very core, inside out. Then our presence will shine a bright light around us for others to notice and emulate. The weight of being here will be taken off us with our creator leading us and being part and parcel of our very existence.

Nicely said, siva. Yes, with God on board with us, our ship should never sink, but even if it did, God would be with us in the deepest of waters too. His love in us lifts us up out of our despair.

@Shiva49 Yes, our origins ensure that the roots of who we are had their beginning in God, and his love. And, our roots are still so connected, so we should dig deeply into ourselves, and live from these deep roots, embedded in the soil of God's love.

@innertalks Thanks Steve, we should never forget our origins, ever. We are part and parcel of this journey and the connection will continue too Who are we to decide otherwise?
