There is nothing worse than being hungry at work and not having the ability to run out and get something. It makes me "hangry". I learned years ago to keep plenty of snacks on hand so I can have something when I need it. We aren't supposed to have things like coffee makers, refrigerators, or microwaves in our classrooms. Administration doesn't care about it but state inspectors do so they always send out an email telling us to remove or hide them when there is an upcoming inspection. Science teachers have long been able to justify having fridges and microwaves. Hell I even have an Instant Pot in my room!
I rarely use my Keurig here at the apartment so I'm considering bringing that into work this year.
Anyway I just included the following items in my grocery order:
--ibuprofen
--TUMS
--Zone Perfect protein bars (strawberry yogurt and chocolate mint)
--diced peaches (individual cups)
--instant Irish oatmeal (packets)
-- Earl grey tea
--sugar packets
--salt
--microwave popcorn (100 calorie packs)
--pretzels (100 calorie packs)
--almonds (coconut flavored)
--Uncrustables (peanut butter and strawberry jelly)
Just before school starts I will order cottage cheese cups, coconut yogurt (strawberry banana), and cheese sticks (mozzarella and colby jack).
Needless to say I always have something to eat on hand when I'm hungry. My coworkers know who to come to as well!
I also have that for hungry students too. Some of the students I have do not have a lunch period because they are behind in their credits. I share with them when they need something. This past year I had a student who asked me for a protein bar at least once a week. I am always happy to share.

I concur you won't be hungry. Taking the Keurig to work makes sense too. Who makes coconut flavored almonds? That sounds like something I would like.

@NJChicaa Diamond has a lot of unique flavors for their almonds. I think I have elote corn almonds in there.

I was fortunate at my last school. I was allowed a fridge, a microwave, and a Keurig in the classroom. The fridge and the microwave were holdovers from covid days when kids stayed in the same class all day, including lunch. We didn't have hot food service, so kids heated up food brought from home. A strict 90-second rule was put in place after some parents sent in frozen meals that took 7 or 8 minutes to heat up. 3 or 4 of those took up the whole lunch period.

That sounds like a great list of goodies. It's nice that you will share. Have a good weekend.
