Weight loss issue

It looks like I've lost about 50 pounds since last fall. That's great because all my lab work numbers have improved and I generally feel better. But....I can't afford a new wardrobe, so I take in my pants by hand. I've already taken them in about 4" on most. Put a pair on yesterday and went into the Dollar General to get cat food and some groceries and the pants I had on almost fell off. I had to keep pulling them up. Those are one of the 4" reductions. It doesn't feel like I'm that much smaller, although I have been able to buy, when I could, two sizes smaller than I was wearing. So, I know I am. I just wish I had my sewing machine ready to use here. I could take them in so much easier with that. All in all, though, it's a better problem to have than most.

Congratulations, you will need to get yourself a belt or a pair of britches.

I've got to get my better fitting pants washed!! I don't mind taking them in (cheaper than buying), but I didn't realize I had lost that much more that the already altered pants were now too big again.

Thanks!! I really think it's because I stopped trying to follow a diet. I just, for the most part, eat when I'm hungry, If I'm only hungry once a day, then I only eat once a day. I have days I pig out (and feel like crap afterwards), but I don't do it every day or even more than once in a week. Kind of like an un-regimented intermittent fasting.

Check Poshmark.com and local thrift stores. You can find secondhand clothes pretty cheap at both.

I go to Goodwill once a month or I buy from cheap mail order once a month. Mainly pants. I have so many tops, but if I find tops at GW, I'll buy them. But, I hate to get rid of the pants I already have. You know - broke in and comfy.
