Won't get to see Funny Girl

I wanted to go see Funny Girl on Broadway, starring Lea Michelle as Fanny Brice but never actually did it. And now it's about to end its run. September 3rd is the last day. And this is my last chance to see it before it's gone.
I looked at tickets for days I can potentially go where Lea Michelle is in the cast but they are expensive. Hundreds of dollars for one ticket. Plus fees. I can't spend that much.
I am so mad at myself for not seeing it earlier, before it became so popular. Tickets were probably much cheaper then.

@lovebuglena That’s a good question. Maybe it was a limited run, like you mentioned.

Yeah. And she was on a pre-planned vacation now. Think she is back.

Wonder why it got cancelled. Unless it was a limited run from the beginning. It sucks that Lea was not eligible for a Tony because she wasn’t part of the original cast. She would’ve definitely gotten a nomination, if not a win, otherwise.

Even for a matinee? If I was going to see something on Broadway I think it would be A Beautiful Noise.

Yep. Cheapest with fees was $144 but that was all the way back in mezzanine or all the way back in orchestra and with limited view. And I was looking for shows with her and not a replacement. But I doubt those were cheaper.

Guess the more popular a show gets the higher the ticket prices. Some seats were in the $400 and even in the $500 range.
