They Tried To Discredit Me

I have alluded in my prior posts that I quit my old job since we have to move to another state for my husband's job. Also, I was no longer happy there as I suffered racial discrimination (I am Asian-American). This morning, I had a call with their consultant, who hired me to work there and have become a dear friend. While the important folks there have nothing but good things to say about me, my aggressors apparently still strive to discredit me.
I told him that he does not need to defend me, that what's important is that he and the CEO of that hospital are on my side and that's all that matters to me. He said he will continue to defend me because if there is anything that he cannot tolerate is a group of short-minded people who are racist and cannot hold themselves accountable and would blame someone whom they know will no longer be able to defend herself. While I appreciate his sentiments, I have moved on and look forward to my new role come next month.
The sad thing is, there is a RN there who is also from the Philippines. And looks like he was being targeted. We do not have enough proof, but it seems like it. Without giving away too much confidential information, one night shift a prescription medication was missing in the inventory which was not administered to the patient. Out of 4 on duty RNs that night, he was the only one who was suspended, and drug tested (he's negative so he was reinstated to work). My consultant friend vowed that he would watch for that RN and see what other antics they are going to do.
On a twist of fate, my new role is in an organization where that particular hospital is contracting for executive coaching. Little did they know (except for the CEO and COO) that I will be part of the team who will conduct their leadership training, evaluation, and even recommend them for career growth. Can you imagine the look of surprise on their faces when they see me on one of their upcoming leadership trainings?
