12 Desperate Hours - Movie Review

I used to write movie reviews all the time, but I got out of that for some reason. I thought I would slowly get back into that. Not sure how often I will share my thoughts on movies.
The first movie is called 12 Desperate Hours.
It is a Lifetime movie that came out this year (2023), back in February. I saw it today because they added it to the Lifetime Movie Club (yes we subscribe to that streaming service).
The movie is directed by Gina Gershon and adapted from Ann Rule's "Last Chance, Last Dance" book.
The main characters were played by Samantha Mathis and Harrison Thomas.
The movie gave me mixed feelings. I will try not to give too many spoilers away.
In this movie a killer enters a families home and holds the wife hostage. She does everything she can to protect her family. The "killer" seems like he is scared the whole time , or something. Just something felt strange throughout the whole movie.
There was not a lot of language, and it was not a gory movie (they did show a little blood, but was not in a gory way at all).
It was not a horrible movie, but I don't think it was one of the best movies Lifetime has ever made. I wouldn't discourage anyone from watching it; but I think I would only give it a 7 out of 10.
Have you seen the movie? If so, what did you think of it?

I haven't read any of her books. It was a good movie to me, I just rated it the way I did because I thought others might not like it the way I did.

Not seen this movie.
Looks like it does has some twists somewhere.
If it is on Netflix or Amazon India, I can give it a try.
As of now, there are some other movies which are in the pipeline for me.

I don't think I even heard of the movie, but it sounded like the plot for "Hush". I don't know if you've heard or seen it, but it's plot centers on a deaf writer who went to her remote cabin to take a break from her life and work on her writer's block, but ended up being hunted by a serial killer in her own home.
I like psychological thrillers, but the husband does not so I have to watch and time these whenever he's not home.

I have not heard of that one, but may have to see if I can find it anywhere. Hush also kind of reminds me of Mischief Night, although the person is blind.
In this one, they spend most of the time in a car; I didn't mention because I didn't want to spoil anything lol.
Sorry that your husband doesn't like to watch them, I am lucky that mine does!

Sorry to hear that it doesn't. Although to each their own, I guess.
