starting a business

August 26, 2023 12:01pm CST
I recently came across an interesting statistic that shocked me: 50% of people surveyed said that they've considered starting their own business. What about the rest of you? Have you ever thought about becoming an entrepreneur, or starting your own business? What kind of business would you start? What challenges do you think you'd face? Is there something specific that has stopped you from committing to the idea? And, most importantly, why?

Many of us would have liked to do it. But then it doesn't happen easily. Many factors can be there...lack of idea, financial constraints, no confidence or low risk appetite and many more. And at times it can be just procrastination.

@arunima25, so true but foremost, we need to ask ourselves if we have the passion for the business we want to operate.

I would absolutely love to have my own business, I would make lotions, bath bombs and stuff like that. It's such a great dream to have but takes alot of work and a lot of us never make it.

Even if I wanted to, money would always stand in my way. Not to mention, I don’t think my health could handle the stress. I certainly admire people who do start their own business though.

It has entered my mind, but I know it's not easy. For one thing, I do not have a deep pocket to support its initial operations and still sustain our simple way of life. Secondly, I will not be able to devote my time on developing it as I like the security that a sure paycheck can bring. But if ever we have a lot of financial resources, then why not.

Wonder to hear that 50% of the people wants to start their own business.. If I think I will start business, my choice is making hygenic & tasty food to the people Yes. Hotel . Each & every hour I will face challenges, because of pressures in case of Target, Customer feedback, Team support, feel good atmosphere, Competition etc etc ... The main reason I would drop this idea is it will be the Long term Process which prolongs with no end .. means The Entrepreneur ie "Me" cannot take holidays , cannot compromise the customers . I really encourage Entrepreneurs . More Youngsters with Experienced Team should start their own business.

I have my own business of raising seedlings of rare fruits and other exotic and native tree species here and nobody can stop me from doing that because that is my passion and that's what I love to do. And if you love what you're doing, you dont work in a day. It's all normal.
