Day 45
Matthew 28:1 Now after the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb.
2 Behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and rolled back the stone from the door and sat on it.
3 His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow.
4 The guards shook for fear of him and became like dead men.
5 The angel answered and said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know you seek Jesus who was crucified. 6 He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. 7 And go quickly and tell His disciples that He has risen from the dead, and indeed He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you.”
8 So they went out quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy and ran to bring His disciples word.
9 As they went to tell His disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, “Rejoice!” So, they came and held Him by the feet and worshiped Him.
10 Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go and tell My brethren to go to Galilee, and there they will see Me.”
When something wonderful happens, you want to celebrate and tell everyone.
When Jesus rose from the dead, those who witnessed it became as dead men when the earth quaked, and the angel rolled the stone from the tomb. The women who waited until the end of the Sabbath so they could anoint the body saw the angel and received the message from the angel that Jesus had risen from the dead. The angel told them to tell His disciples to go to Galilee where He would meet them. As they left the tomb, they met Jesus and worshiped Him when He told them to rejoice.
For Christians, Jesus’ resurrection is the pivotal point in history, giving you a reason to rejoice for joy in your salvation. Satan no longer binds you. Jesus set you free to live for Him. Just as the women worshiped Jesus, you are to worship and rejoice because Satan has no hold over you. Death could not keep Jesus in the grave, nor can death keep you in chains. Jesus broke your chains with His resurrection. Rejoice in your salvation.
When the angel rolled the stone from the grave, it wasn’t to let Jesus out but to prove He had risen. The soldiers guarding the tomb saw stone roll away and felt the earthquake and became as dead men. They did not see the angel who rolled the stone from the mouth of the tomb. Fear of the unknown caused them to become as dead men. They didn’t see the women talk to the angel and give them the good news of Jesus’ resurrection. Fear blinded their eyes.
Satan blinds the eyes and stops the ears from the truth. However, he cannot blind the eyes and stop the ears of those who know Jesus as their personal Savior and Lord. He cannot stop you from worshiping Jesus and rejoicing in the truth of His resurrection.
Rejoice with great joy. Jesus is risen!
Let’s pray: Father, thank you for the death, burial, and resurrection of Your Son, Jesus. Let me worship and praise You, rejoicing with great joy in what You did in sending Your Son to be my Savior. Let me tell everyone what You did in raising Your Son from the dead. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

If we do feel blind, and deaf to the joy of Jesus, this should be a sign to us, that we are being made so by Satan, and are still bound to/by him.
We really do need to rejoice in the risen Lord, and open our eyes and ears to this truth, and the other truths of God, too.

@just4him Yes, they never stop, and think to look either, and so go on living blindly, unfortunately for them too.
